Discover Little Black Coffee And Tea

Walking into Little Black Coffee And Tea for the first time felt less like visiting a café and more like being welcomed into a familiar neighborhood hangout. Tucked along Jl. Pembangunan Raya No.2a, Pekiringan, Kec. Kesambi, Kabupaten Cirebon, Jawa Barat 45153, Indonesia, this spot has quietly built a reputation among locals who care deeply about good coffee, thoughtful food, and an atmosphere that doesn’t try too hard to impress.

I first stopped by on a weekday afternoon, right when the post-lunch lull hits. Instead of emptiness, the place buzzed with soft conversations, the hiss of an espresso machine, and the comforting aroma of freshly ground beans. The barista explained their brewing process without sounding rehearsed, breaking down why they adjust grind size depending on humidity, something supported by research from the Specialty Coffee Association, which notes that environmental factors can affect extraction quality. That small detail told me these people know their craft.

The menu strikes a balance between variety and focus. You’ll find espresso-based drinks, manual brews, and a solid tea selection, but nothing feels bloated. Their iced black coffee quickly became my go-to, clean and bright without the bitterness people often expect. On another visit, I tried a milk-based drink paired with a light snack, and the flavors worked together instead of competing. Nutrition studies from Harvard have pointed out that moderate coffee consumption can support cognitive performance, and places like this make it easy to enjoy coffee mindfully rather than excessively.

Food here plays a supporting role, but it’s a strong one. The diner-style comfort items feel intentional, not like an afterthought. One staff member shared how they test recipes in small batches before adding them to the menu, gathering feedback from regulars. That community-driven approach reminded me of a small case study I read from the National Restaurant Association, which found that customer involvement often leads to higher satisfaction and repeat visits. Judging by the steady stream of familiar faces, that approach is working.

Reviews around town often mention the atmosphere, and I get why. The interior design is minimal without being cold, making it easy to settle in with a laptop or catch up with friends. During one longer stay, I noticed how staff subtly checked on guests without hovering, a service style hospitality experts often recommend for casual dining spaces. It creates trust, and trust is why people keep coming back.

What stands out most is consistency. Across multiple visits, drinks tasted the same, service stayed warm, and the space felt reliably calm. Consistency is something culinary institutes emphasize as a marker of quality, and it’s surprisingly hard to maintain. Of course, there are limitations. Seating can fill up quickly during peak hours, and parking nearby isn’t always effortless. Still, those minor gaps are part of what makes the place feel real rather than overly polished.

Talking with a regular who stops in nearly every morning, I heard the phrase this is my reset place, and that summed it up perfectly. Whether you’re scanning reviews before choosing your next coffee stop or simply exploring new locations around Cirebon, this café offers more than caffeine. It offers a rhythm, a sense of ease, and a reminder that when care goes into process, people can taste the difference.

  • A bistro offering a relaxed setting for dining. They have a variety of comfort food on the menu from different countries. Place is quite big with smoking areas on the back of the restaurant and on the second floor. Ordered coffee and noticed they have Combroloni on display, decided to gave it a try and it was delicious. Overall experience is ok, but nothing special.
